In focus: Caterpillar Institute WA

The CAT Institute - a training organisation based in the Perth metropolitan area - is a joint venture between Caterpillar Australia and WesTrac Equipment Pty Ltd.

It was found that there was a need for state of the art, innovative and challenging learning opportunities, which is what the Institute delivers to their clients throughout Western Australia.

The Institute provides comprehensive, industry-focused learning and training programs in the area of pre-employment, apprentice, post-trade, machine operation and occupational health and safety. Apprentices talk here about the benefits of undertaking a trade and training with Caterpillar, including not only access to the latest kind of machines and equipment, but being adequately prepared with knowledge and experience for when they get out onto the actual mine site...
