Heifers up the duff

James Hooke is the Traineeship Co-ordinator at Tocal Agricultural College in the Lower Hunter Valley. He helps run the Rural and Diary Courses offered at Tocal.

Today we meet with James and some of his students who will be undertaking a herd health check, which involves testing dairy cows for pregnancy, with guidance from veterinarian Ian Gollam.

Tocal College offers a range of agricultural-related traineeship programs, courses and certificates, and James reckons that you couldn't ask for a better place to work!

Did you know? Most farms these days use artificial insemination procedures with cattle. Watch the video to find out why!
