SkillsOne meets Robert Heatley, a master builder who discusses with us his rare trade of Organ building. He talks about his job - the art of constructing these instruments by hand and the variety of running a business.

Robert introduces us to his apprentice Daniel Bittner who recently received the Apprentice of the Year award, who talks about how he came into the industry and the opportunities which he has in a trade where he will always have work.

 

Organ building is one of Australia's rarest trades. Australian Pipe Organs is the country's largest organ building, restoration and repair company... and they only employ eight people!
