Training future MacGyvers

A trade can give you the problem solving and common sense skills to be a great Foxtel installer! Downer EDI Engineering is one of two companies contracted to install Foxtel to residential and commercial buildings, and today we look at two employees who are installing the cable TV to a house.

There is no formal training needed to become a technician other than gaining your installation licence through 1-day courses, and learning skills on the job with a supervisor (Quality Assurance Inspector) like Roy Denny (owner of Downer EDI Engineering), who is a pro cable installer and technician called "MacGyver" by his trainees - as he is always looking at the best way of doing things, efficiently and properly.
