Solar Switch

Keen to make positive environmental changes, Alle Brunning and her husband Adam Tesoriero started their own business called SolarSwitch, which supplies and installs solar electricity systems for homes, businesses and community buildings.

In order to take on this job, one needs more than just electrician skills, but must be TAFE accredited in solar electricity installation and design.

As part of the couple's dedication, they decided to try and keep their overheads as low as possible, as well as offer their 1kW system (the most common used in homes and the unit covered by the current government subsidy) at the lowest price possible. By making the units as affordable as possible, they hope to encourage more people to switch to solar power, and therefore help the environment.
