The shift manager

As Ben works his way up the ranks in the stevedoring industry, he talks about the opportunities the career provides.

The amount of good coming into Australia and being moved around our 5 major ports creates numerous employment opportunities.

Ben did some part time work in the industry and discovered he liked it. He then took a traineeship to ensure he was qualified for the trade.

He works with good of all shapes and sizes, and ships that fit cars, crates, containers and anything that doesn't fit into a box.

He's now a Shift Manager at Patricks Stevedoring and is looking to moving up to Operations Manager and believes transport and stevedoring is a great industry to working it.
