In a building that is both designed to reflect a whale and named in the local Indigenous tongue 'whale', Gawura, the new Aboriginal Learning Centre at the Northern Beaches TAFE certainly is destined for big things.

 

College Director Kevin Kellar and Aboriginal Development Manager Rob Cohen explain the importance of the centre which was designed and launched in conjunction with the local Indigenous Community and opened in November 2007. Rob Cohen takes us through the concept of it's intricate design, and the role it will play in supporting Indigenous community and furthering awareness of Indigenous issues.
