Finally, the first of our Ultimate Apprenticeship winners has returned from their overseas apprenticeship and needless to say had an amazing personal and professional experience.

Kira-Lee, who is a second year apprentice cook at the Gilt Bar & Restaurant in Sandy Bay, went to Japan to train with some of Tokyo’s top chefs. Read all about her experience here.

I’m sure Kira Lee will join me in thanking the WPC Group for providing the amazing trip to Japan, which has helped demonstrate to Kira Lee just how far her chosen career of cookery can take her and everyone at SkillsOne wishes her all the best in her future endeavors.

Don’t forget to tune into SkillsOne Television on the Aurora Channel each weekend between 2-6pm or weekdays between 9-10am and 5-6pm for all the latest on trade skills.

Of course if you’re not able to catch SkillsOne Television the stories are all streamed live here on the SkillsOne website.
