Congratulations to Ricco Caroso from Sandringham, Victoria winner of our 'Dream Workshop' provided by the kind people of 'Timber and Working with Wood' www.workingwithwood.com.au
A successful day at the St Kilda Festival 2008 included hundreds of thousands of people enjoying the weekend, and many stopping by the SkillsOne stand to get a real look at some interesting trades and trades people from carpenters to hairdressers and more!
Comedian Dave Hughes gives SkillsOne the thumbs up and an empty white marquee was turned into a Green SkillsOne Giant at the Foxtel Village...complete with hairdressing mannequin for demonstrations!

We kicked the morning off with demonstration in sign illustration and sign making thanks to our friends from Victoria University who were at the SkillsOne stand.
They also took control of the carpentry demonstration.
Then onto Pivot Point Training....these girls were like a finely tuned machine. Sarah Conlon, who was The Institutes Trade Teacher of the Year finalist, set up a hair dressers salon with her team.
They crowds really came in when these girls arrived!
The girls from Elly Lukas Beauty Therapy College also came along and brought with them every girls indulgence: massages and manicures! The perfect ending to a long hard day.
It's hard not to be pleased with these free hair sessions from the Pivot Point team - and it was a great way for many people to talk to hairdressers and other trades people about their careers on the day.

Thanks to everyone who took part with us at the Foxtel Village: Aurora the Community Channel, Victoria University, Pivot Point and Elly Lukas.
